Why? Cos it's more interesting and you can have much more bizarre qualia when doing this , not that. Simply, behaving as usual, that is, quite the contrary. Other thread: why do grand/great people , great minds commit suicide at such young age as they notoriously do? Cos their minds allow them to really understand the reality, the surroundings; having comprehended the way the world works, they grow so nauseous of and develop an extreme disgust towards it that they see no better way than to terminate their eartly existence. [I've been experiencing/feeling that way quite often lately...] Plus, just a minor thought, I am not fond of sharing thoughts of this sort on the oh-so-pop social network site I am signed up on. There is no place for those. Another random thought is, people are [I start lacking words to express my discontent about them; note: this is not tantamount to putting myself on airs] so hopeless in their indecisiveness; they vacillate between different positions, options, possibilities and opportunities in their lives, reflecting their crudity and ordinariness in that. God, they really get me going with their ruefull attitudes, "big" problems, etc., etc. How much longer, how much longer will ić withstand it...?
