Pigeons on My Balcony.

Yes, this is how it goes in case you did not know or haven't noticed yet. I'm talking about getting round to doing something obligatory. Also, in the so called meantime, there were many a things which filled my operating memory; these were no trifles by no means. Surprisingly as it may come to you I have shared some of them with a friend of mine. A friend who, being occupied with philosophical [or metaphysical, as he would rather maintain it and so as to keep it technically precise], matters revealed a remarkable and rare attention to my persona as well as to my confessions. It shall be also noted that he has no knowledge of this blog whatsoever what makes my elucidations of him all the more safe and insolent. Lately, I've been into Hemingway and his Moveable Feast as an interlude to more serious stuff. So light a story! If only the external conditions permitted the same what he describes in the book. But the point I want to make takes its departure from a slightly different perspective, namely, as does Hem, I could too write endlessly what consists of a post - a favorite in my case stream of consciousness and a praise of simple life. Here is one of my observations from the field called everyday encounters: people love to have their beliefs, belief system concise and not questioned in any way and under no circumstances. This is so even when they talk with somebody they are not very close with. This kind of [distant; may I be so distinct] relation, in my humble opinion, would imply that the belief owner in question should not care much about the questioner's, in this case, contrary and sometimes devastating statement. Apparently and as comes out from the [my] empirical findings it is not so. Very frequently do I come across a person [out of mere courtesy I shall not be allowed to call names] who goes as far as to fiercely argue when pointed out an inconsistency or faulty reasoning in his or her mental representation of the world. This, in my view, is going greatly beyond all reason. Why should they care? What is it that makes them behave so violently about an opinion of an almost-stranger? This is something to which I am inclined to admit my cognitive limits [sarcasm intended].
Another reflection pertains language. Yes, may you gasp, what else if not that. Well, man could not ever get tired of pondering on this subject especially somebody of my provenance. Then, the thought roughly comes to the hypothesis: human language is animal [savage] by its embodiment [embodied cognition]. This is kind of, I presume, related to a more complex vision I am currently working on and which is connected with the pace and human species. I do not plan on elaborating on this topic right now but in a gist the hypothesis can be explained in the following brief and general way: people have a propensity to exaggerate when it comes to their place in nature [vide: e.g., anthropocentrism] and world. This is a more primitive stance to the preference of one's country over other, foreign ones. Primitive in that it is a similarity on a much more basic and rudimentary level which is also, so do I believe, common for the vast majority if not all mankind. Such standpoint renders a pretense to be the ruler of the world but it also mists a more global and critical view on alternative [very often more probable [if they are so fond of probabilities existing objectively, then I am ready to use the terminology comprehensible for the flotsam and jetsam, read: those not educated in the philosophical spirit]] versions. Therefore [ergo] it is too often that people make and take themselves as the... hm... best and finest with their linguistic skills as the key argument for distinguishing from and superiorizing the homo sapiens over the animal, plant, animated and unanimated nature kindgdoms. So much for now, I think. I do not wish an information overload for you.
